| Gateway DHA Continues New CE Format
The Gateway Dental Hygienists’ Association has enjoyed some innovative CEs this past year. The “Ask the Expert” series included:
- Periodontics- “Current Concepts in Periodontology” with Periodontist Terry Jackson, DDS. MA and Prosthodontist Jack DGrado, DDS
- Endodontics- with Endodontist Anjanette Gjertsen, DDS, MS, with a live demo of the microscope used for treatment, in her office
- Orthodontics- “Innovations in Orthodontics” with Peter Maro, DDS.
Programs such as these expose the RDH to a more thorough understanding of each specialty and allow an opportunity for more interaction. GDHA also conducted their first Open Forum the topic, “The Challenge of Treating the Hypersensitive Patient”. Participants shared their experiences and ideas which was extremely beneficial to all in attendance. Meeting Information
- Meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month at 7:15pm (September through November,and January, March, and April) at the Stamford Government Center. 888 Washington
Blvd. Most GDHA meetings involve at least one CEU for our speakers and a business meeting follows. We also enjoy social dinners December and May.
