CDHA is divided into 9 separate but equal components. A member chooses his/her component based on their personal preference. They may choose a component based on the field of dental hygiene they practice in such as a public health setting, sales etc. A hygienist may also choose their component based on the convenience of its meetings' and its proximity to home or work.
